We’ve recently made changes to our app in accordance with the TLC’s new driver fatigue regulations.
Based on these regulations, drivers may not transport passengers for more than 10 hours in a 24-hour period or more than 60 hours in one calendar week. Additionally, drivers must rest for at least 8 consecutive hours, meaning that they may not transport passengers in their vehicle during this time.
If you've received a notification that you've reached the TLC enforced driving limit, your account has been placed on a temporary hold, but will be active again within 8 hours of receiving the notification. We do this in order to provide you with the essential time to rest and to ensure you are in compliance with the TLC's guidelines.
